Family & Kid Friendly
Come trick or treat at Brookswood Meadow Plaza on Halloween! Youngsters in costume are invited to visit participating businesses during the day and into the evening for Halloween goodies. FREE. 19570 Amber Meadow Drive Bend, OR
Grab your costume and head down to Prestige Senior Living High Desert for some trick or treating with our residents. Many of the residents don’t have friends or family living nearby and having visitors, especially children dressed in costumes, means the world to them. 2660 NE Mary Rose Pl Bend, OR
Kids Halloween Party at The Old Mill District – Check out the offerings at the many stores and restaurants plus hay rides from the Cowboy Carriage (pickup location between Ben & Jerry’s and Francesca’s). Children and parents alike can enjoy crafts, a pet costume contest and a great horned owl visiting from Sunriver Nature Center. 4-7pm. Old Mill District, 450 SW Powerhouse Dr., Bend.

Roundabout Books Halloween Open House 4-10pm – it’s not a secret that Northwest Crossing is a great place to trick-or-treat. Why not support a new local book store and enjoy a hot beverage and Halloween treats for kids before hitting the streets? 900 Mt. Washington Drive Bend, OR
The Bend Park and Recreation District will kick off The Pavilion’s ice season on Oct. 31. On Halloween, The Pavilion will be open from 4-9pm for open skate, giving community members their first chance to get on the ice. A special opening day fee of $6 per person including skate rental will be offered. Skaters are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes if they choose. 1001 SW Bradbury Dr, Bend, OR 97702
Adult Halloween Activities
The Source Weekly has an extensive list of Halloween events for adults but here are a couple.
ScareGrounds Haunted House – Please be advised that all three attractions are very scary. They are recommended only for ages 12 and up, although a final decision is left to the discretion of a supervising adult. “Chicken Exits” are located throughout the haunt. Located between the Sheep and Dairy barns. Enter at the Parking Lot A gate. 7-10pm. Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center, 3800 SW Airport Way, Redmond. $12 one haunt, $20 two haunts, $25 three haunts.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show – With live shadow cast! Tommy Kuchulis will return as Dr. Frank N Furter and make his directorial debut as he tackles this sweet classic tale. Have a night of fun as you interact with the show. 7pm. 2nd Street Theater, 220 NE Lafayette Ave. $10 GA, $20 VIP.
