This Mill Quarter townhome is located in the heart of Bend between downtown and The Old Mill District, perfect for a buyer that wants hip, urban living. The exteriors were inspired by east coast brownstones and the interiors have a modern, industrial style, complete with brick, steel, and concrete. The ICF (insulated concrete form) construction offers energy efficiency and soundproofing. The interior finishes include cork and concrete flooring, granite and tile countertops, dumb waiter, and stainless steel Viking appliances. This townhome is 1822 sq. ft. with 3 bedrooms/3 baths and is offered at $455,000. It’s priced as well as a bank owned Mill Quarter townhome that sold earlier this year for $450,000.

Hip, urban living, in Bend, Oregon? I don’t think so.
I don’t know many “east coast brownstones” with an “interior…modern, industrial style, complete with brick, steel, and concrete.”
It’s like they tried to put every style they’ve every heard of into one townhome. Doesn’t seem like it worked too well.
Not sure how you call a $250 sq/ft property with virtually no land a best buy. The property just to the West looks like a construction dump.
Don S: It’s a best buy because this floor plan originally sold for $725,000 or $398/SF. I hear what you’re saying though – it really goes to show how crazy our market got when a property listed at 62% of its peak value is still at $250/SF.
Pete: My understanding is that the term brownstone is simply about the material used on the exterior of a rowhouse or townhouse. Like brick or siding, brownstone is the exterior finish. The interior can be any style. However, if you consider most east coast brownstones were built over 100 years ago, I see your point.
Wally: Touche! Mill Quarter has more of a hip, urban feel than say Broken Top or Awbrey Butte, wouldn’t you agree?
